Vital Space reminds you that the VS Video Competition Raising Awareness in 60” is still on. The general public is invited to vote amongst the contenders for the Viewers’s Prize for 2013 until December 31st, 2013.

2. WDW REVIEW | NEW ARTICLE BY YANIS VAROUFAKIS AND VITAL SPACE

“The Serpent’s Greek Lair”,  In this fourth article that Yanis Varoufakis and vitalspace.org have contributed to the Witte de With Review (an initiative of Rotterdam-based Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art), we offer a short history of Golden Dawn, the Greek Nazi party. As with all our articles in WdW Review, the ‘take’ is always personal, intimate almost. In this piece on Golden Dawn, Yanis begins with an encounter with an old, poor Peloponnesean farmer, some time in the 1990s, whose life revealed much about Greece’s Dark Side.
