Monojit Chatterji is the Bonar Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Dundee and Fellow and Director of Studies in Economics at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. He has held visiting appointments in many Universities in USA, Australia, India, Mexico, and Greece and has many publications in learned journals. He is also by appointment of the Government of Wales a member of the Welsh Remuneration Board which determines all financial payments to Members of the Welsh Assembly. He is the Chair of the National Jount Council, a negotiating body which determines pay and conditions for the UK Fire Service. In the past he has been a member of the Advisory Board of the BBC World Service and by Ministerial appointment a member of the School Teachers Review Body which advises on salaries and working conditions for all school teachers in England and Wales.
